I voted "draft", but this is my context, since I prefer a good stout, and the bottled stuff just isn't the same. (If you have to, try a can, at least with Guinness it's better than bottled, but still not as good as being pulled freshly from the tap.)Flabby Chick wrote:If your talking about Bitter or Stout then you should be shot for drinking from the bottle.
But yeah, the "lighter" beers do seem fine from the bottle, and since I don't usually drink when I'm out of the house, my quest is to find decent bottled beers.

Draft for sure!
Especially since my favorite beer (Widmere Heffeweisen) is always the best right after cracking the keg or right before it's empty.
Makes for a nice thick beer that tastes oh so good!
Can't get that with the bottles.
IMO, if you can see through your full beer glass you shouldnt be drinkin it!

Guiness is ruined when it comes in a can or bottle, it should always be served on draft. And extra cold.Pugwash wrote:"real" beer only comes 1 way and thats from a beer engine (non pressurised hand pump draft system) attached to a cask.
and yes guiness is better in a can than a bottle but it the ONLY beer that that is true for.

Mrs. Dedman and I were in Dublin on vacation and were in a taxi when the driver asked us if we were planning on taking the tour of the St. James Gate Brewery. I told him that we were. We then proceeded to get on the topic of all things Guinness. He asked me if I knew that they shipped Guinness with different alcohol content to different countries. I told him no then asked which county got the strongest. He told me Belgium. When I asked him why Belgium, his answer was priceless. He said â??because they are swine, thatâ??s why.â?
