That ain't no spider! Pffft. Cute though. Here's my Acanthoscurria geniculata or commonly known as Giant White Knee. He is from Brazil and aggressive as hell. He eats mice, crickets, meal worms, or your fingers.Currently his legspan is about 5.5 inches. Will grow to 9+ inches.

That's just one of 5 tarantulas I have as pets.

Yeesh, that spider looks no bigger than a large crab spider or a cat spider. Hell, maybe even one of those weird gray furry spiders. But it's not even as big as a hobo spider from what I can tell.

Those are very common where I live. We capture them by the 20's-30's in glue traps. Their bite is really nasty from what I have heard too. Can mess you up pretty bad. They claim they cant climb but they are getting better at it all the time. I have seen them climb 5 feet up a wooden wall. He wasn't very fast but he was certainly getting there.

And I'm not talking about the brazil white knee... that's a nasty looking spider

Actually, I plan on letting the little bugger live. Keeps the wevel and gnat population down. I'm not afraid of the thing, I just saw it and instantly thought of roid's thread and snapped a close-up shot of the spider. I don't kill anything unless I absolutely have to...unless its a roach or something similar. Then it gets stomped with extreme prejudice.
