Yes, I've gotten them too. When I get some time I'll look at what's causing it. I believe Xciter already emailed the host about it.
In the mean time, your message does post (at least mine did) so there's no need to go back and submit it again...

I know, I double posted due to that bug. So did many others I see.

People need to realize that until this little problem is fixed they need to stop checking "Notify me when reply is posted". This should stop the error from happening. If they have it set to auto-notify in their profile they need to disable it.
Like Topher said, your message does post when you get the error, just click "DescentBB Forum Index" to leave that page.

Actually Tyranny, I have that box unchecked every time by default... and I still get the error. Go figure. Might be only from one place though.
Edit - doesn't happen every time either - I think when I post the first time after logging in... or something...

It doesn't have to be notifying you to show the error.

It shows the error as long as *somebody* is being notified.
A good temporary solution would be to just stop notifying...

I think it's notifying the original poster.

Its not specifically related to you then. Either the original poster has it checked or other people posting may have it enabled on their end. Otherwise those of us that don't aren't adding to the problem anyways. I know I'm getting it in nearly every thread I post in and all I have enabled is to be notified when someone sends me a PM, which should be unrelated.

evil ice cream haters
Back to topic, the errors seem to have stopped for me. Last one I got was after my first post in this thread.

You have started a rampaging topic of death barreling down the cafe, horribly marring all that enter it. Good job.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight, but I stopped getting notifications about responses to postings about, maybe, four or five months ago. I figured it was not longer functional. Any suggestions as to how I might get notifications again? (I've already set permissions on the spamblock).

Suggestion: Back up phpbb_topics_watch and then purge the table for now.
(EDIT)And I mean empty it, not drop it.
