My Rams were eliminated last week by the friggin Panthers of all teams...so I guess it's time to start rooting for the Colts. My Superbowl teams are Colts and Eagles, with the Colts winning it.
Patriots and Eagles - Eagles Win. This has been a year riddled with racism issues within the NFL and I don't think that a black QB has ever won the Bowl before, so why not?
If anyone thinks that the Panthers have any chance of getting to the Superbowl, I pity them. This is our year. Philly has been denied a major sports title for 20 years and 81 professional seasons, and this is our year. In the words of the late and great Tug McGraw, "Ya gotta believe!" We've been denied the past two years, but I truly feel that the third time's a charm. All of that being said, there's just one more thing...

Uh, what you really meant to say was that Philly has FAILED TO EARN a major sports title for 20 years and 81 professional seasons. Right?
Vader, I'm pretty sure that it was the Sixers in 1983. The Phillies won their only World Series in 1980, the Eagles have never won a Superbowl but won the NFL Championship in 1960, and the Flyers won the Stanley Cup in 1974 and 1975.
As for my possible syntax error above, just ask any Philly sports fan, and they'll tell you that "denied" is the right word to use.
Was sorry to hear about Tug McGraw....the Phillies look like that have a really good team this year. Potentially improved from last year, specially with Billy Wagner as the closer.
I don't think the Marlins will repeat, and the Braves have lost some pitching / Batting potency, and the Mets & Expos *laugh*, the NL East looks like it could be wide open for the Phillies and their cheese steak eating fans to win the division and perhaps win a WS
Ugh...I'm officially sick to my stomach. This one hasn't sunk in yet, but it will with a vengeance. You know, maybe I should find a more successful city to cheer for (or so I say until next season )
As for me, I'd like to see the Patriots absolutely crush that other team that will henceforth go unnamed.
I'd like to now take this time to announce how much I hate the New England Patriots. I would root for anyone over that god forsaken team. Go Panthers. I can't believe Philly and Indy both choked. Again. Ugh.
Though I hated how they dismantled my Bucs during the regular season, I've already become sick of hearing about how the Patriots will [any verb for dismantle] anyone in the Super Bowl. Go Panthers! NFC South Pride!
I have a HUGE amount of respect for McNabb. Not only did he get injured and tried playing through it but he gave his team every possible opportunity he could to win. The receivers running incorrect routes from the plays that were being called were a huge factor in the Panthers handing them their asses.
They should have ran the ball more earlier in the game as they were gaining more yards that way...

****!!!!!!!!! asdhgasdkljhklg patriots and vinatieri again
BTW did anyone realize that this superbowl was pretty much exactly the same as the one 2 years ago (between rams and pats)...panthers were behind, came back in second half, tied it up on a Ricky Proehl TD catch, lost because of a big pass play and a Vinatieri kick at the end of the game.
