Patriots...

Post by Beowulf »

I think there are no words in English to describe how I feel about them, so in Arabic, I say to them

khara b'leheetak.

is this patriots the sport team? or patriot as in the "one who believes that a particular stretch of land is superior to all others, solely because he lives there"

If you can't answer that on your own roid you obviously don't belong in this thread or the "Poor Eagles" thread. :P

The pathetic 'I'm going to kill myself' look on the Eagles fans faces was worth it to see the Eagles lose. (Not that I care about the Eagles..I didn't know they were playing. But it's still funny to see the look of actual anguish (on the fans)..like their first born was just killed in a car crash.)

Man Testi.... you have to at least act like you care. BTW, how was the middle of town last night- I'd imagine that it got a little out of hand.

Why would I care? It's a group of guys playing a game. 6th graders can play football. :) (edit: I respect the abilities that *some* of these guys possess, but the whole adoration and jock-sniffing thing that goes on from the fans is laughable)

Town was fine. Town only turns into Romper Room when they win. Everyone drove home (mostly quietly) with their tail between their legs.

maybe with some smart draft picks, fast linebackers and a 3-4 defense we might not lose 12 in a row :(

I wish the niners had some sense and hired Crennel. Then again, who expects York to do anything smart?

He fired Mariucci after a 10-6 season to hire... a coach with a losing NFL record in Dennis Erickson. I knew we were going downhill the second that happened. Mariucci was criticized for conservative playcalling, but Erickson was a pure wuss. For example I had the "pleasure" of watching the niners in person losing to the Bills near halftime in a (then) 2-12 season, but only down by 10 points, Erickson chose to run the ball and let time runout instead of throwing a hail mary. With the season in the toilet, what do you have to lose? Especially when young QBs on the niners need experience... but I digress.

Nolan seems to be assembling a good staff, but it seems awfully silly not to go after Crennell after how well the Patriots defense performed, especially considering the number of adjustments the patriots had to make this year, including the patchwork secondary.
