Suggestions for my site

I'm currently in the process of getting my site back up. The only thing I have back up at the moment is the about page, Journal, and guestbook, but I plan on totally redoing my graphical layout once I have my ideas and content in place. Does anybody have any slick ideas when it comes to content on a personal web page?

I've never really followed the whole personal site or blog thing. So my 'personal site' is almost a business. Or rather I use it mostly just for storing pictures.

Well, I was actually thinking about creating a database driven blog link app on the site. In order to let others post links to their blogs on my site. Basically a guestbook for blog links.

Yea, I kinda frowned upon the whole blog issue, but then I realized that I was blogging even before it was called blogging. Plus, I like to vent from time to time on how I feel.
