Looking for a job...

Post by snoopy »

sucks.

I'm graduating in May, and have few leads. I'm trying to find a job in the Baltimore area in the mechanical engineering field. Do any of you guys have any tips for me?

Yes: Spell Baltimore correctly in your application letters. ;)

Good luck.

Really, anything that an experienced mechanical engineer would. The only difference is that they would get less responsibilities, and probably wouldn't get the lead on any projects.

Seems like most of the mech E grads I know are writing software for a living.

go for 4 more years and get an Industrial design degree. ;)

Mechanical engineering is kind of a broad subject much like electrical engineering. Look into manufactoring. maybe construction. What aspect of your degree did you like the most?

Delta Air Lines is hiring in both it's Propulsion and Aircraft engineering departments right now. The positions are Atlanta and you would get unlimited free flights after 30 days. I believe the flights up to Baltimore are less than 2 hours.
