That Palin bi-uh... ridiculous person can munch my undies. She wants to take Family Guy off the Air because they offended her! She's way to authoritarian to suit me, all the more dangerous because she'd sell out to what ever corporations got her elected with the all the authority she could bring to bear with the presidential war powers she'd inherit from the forever war against evil the last republican president started. Either of the previous secretaries of state (Clinton or Rice) are far more qualified than she is.

I just can not believe anyone can take that woman seriously as a member of a PTA, let alone a governor of a state! PRESIDENT?! Just shoot me.

Edit:
an update re: the Family Guy thing-

A couple of Margaret Thatcher clips I came across:
Margaret Thatcher BBC Panorama 1987 Pt 1
Margaret Thatcher on Socialism
Retrobites: Margaret Thatcher (1983) (awesome)

I like her. :)

I think there is a lot of truth in this post. I often found Margret Thatcher to be intentionally intellectually dishonest, but that was probably more in play with the competitive nature of politics.

But she was smart and very sharp and, similar to Reagan, over time even though most of her opponents still disagree, she did garner their respect. She comes at you with well thought out ideas. I listen to Margaret Thatcher and I am left with things to think about. The relationship that people have with Sarah Palin is best described as “puppy love.” And I think it takes someone who doesn’t prescribe to her philosophy to see that, which is why there is such a strong divide on opinions about her, and ultimately why you gave her just a 6.

Sarah Palin is no Margret Thatcher, Sarah Palin says all the right things, she prescribes to all the right beliefs but at the end of the day all of you must know that she would never take the conservative movement farther. She would never convince anyone on the other side to pause and think about her arguments, or what she is saying. Because to be honest, all she says are buzz words. I have never heard an argument from her that I couldn’t hear on any given popcorn news show.

Sarah Palin does not exist on the Margaret Thatcher scale.

I think that is a pretty good assessment of Palin, she is a lightweight. Good vice Pres. material not ready for the #1 spot maybe never will be.
However upon arriving at that conclusion I don't know how you could find Barrak Obama to be any different other than he prescribes to a different set of beliefs! If he was a white man he would have received maybe, at best, two thirds of the vote he ended up with because as a white man his Palin-ish qualities would have been his most prominent asset/handicap instead of vieled by the whole post-racial first black President veneer.

If you also took away his oratory skills I’m not sure I would fight you on this. I would also describe a lot of the love for Obama as puppy love-esk. I don’t agree with the Palin-ish qualities, Obama came from a poor family, and ended up going to the top schools in the world and maintaining a high GPA. That takes a lot of dedication and hard work.

I know I’ve said before, if it was up to me I would have rather he waited. I think with more experience he could have really been something substantially phenomenal – I am not sure he can pull that off now. If his next three years are like his first then it will be quite the disappointment.

More like flash-in-the-pan rock star status.

When I say Palin-ish I was refering to your characterization of her as a politico:
Sarah Palin says all the right things, she prescribes to all the right beliefs but at the end of the day all of you must know that she would never take the conservative movement farther. She would never convince anyone on the other side to pause and think about her arguments, or what she is saying. Because to be honest, all she says are buzz words. You can replace Sarah Palin with Barrak Obama and conservative with liberal in your quote above and the same thing you said about Palin applies to Obama. And they both have little experience in their field. I'm sure to you Obama's oratory skills are superior (at least when teleprompted) but you are a receptive listener to him. Palin 'talks just fine' to her audience as well....

you can also \"talk just fine\" if your audience speaks ebonics.

Perhaps I missed something. I followed the link and I didn't see anything about forcing Family Guy off the air. I just saw:

"Ms. Palin, whose son Trig also has Down syndrome, has said that the “Family Guy” show “really isn’t funny” and was the work of “cruel, cold-hearted people.” "

She's entitled to find the show offensive. I cant see any problem with that.

Ha! I'll just take her word for it, cause I'm not going to TRY it, and I'm sure not going to try and tell my WIFE that it wasn't really that much trouble. :D
