They're coming all the way up to Madison.... unreal.More than 100 volunteers labored to get 20 apartments ready for families by Thursday.
A social worker on Allied Drive launched the project. Most of the cleaning and painting is finished, but the units are waiting to be furnished with household supplies.
The group hopes to raise enough money to keep families functioning for at least three months.
Anyway, we've got a ton of stuff we were gonna sell at a yard sale, but instead we're gonna donate it to this effort. These people are coming here with nothing but the shirts on their backs.
