Or smokin' something.
Your jokes are flat. I can easily debunk everything you all said here, but you'll just act like nothing was proven and ridicule the whole thing and use ad-hominem arguments directed towards me. Just say the word while being serious, and respectful, and I'll refute everything you all said, including what Vander or whichever "who's who" of Descent 3 said there's no aether. Hopefully roid won't turn it into a flame war.
Neo keeps referencing debunked hypotheses. You know the drill... If your experiment proves you wrong, just disregard the results and try something different.
That would require that flat earthers actually do math, which is something completely unreasonable to expect from them.Flatlander wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 5:15 am Probably the easiest way to see the curvature of the earth:

They'd just claim it was refraction anyway. What jokes? You don't believe in flat moon? You believe in ball-moon propaganda? I dare you to disprove ball-moon, which you have been too scared to do.Burlyman wrote: ↑Sun Jun 11, 2023 11:24 pmYour jokes are flat. Who is "better" when ya both havin fun? I am/was an equal opportunity fragger, except pretzelboy because f him he was annoyingBurlyman wrote: ↑Sat Jun 17, 2023 2:06 pm Isaac I don’t believe in your crazy flat moon conspiracy theory.
I liked playing D3 with Bunyip except when he would try to compare and contrast our skill levels. I like friendly matches, not grudge matches like what people who hated me wanted…. I’m not saying Bunyip did this but other people did.
When did I insult you? Point to one insult I aimed at you! In fact, you insulted me! You told me you'd easily debunk my flat moon and then you called it crazy. Those are insults, by you.
At least it proves no men have ever landed on the moon.TigerRaptor wrote: ↑Tue Jun 20, 2023 2:51 pm There is another way to prove the moon is round.

Where is yours? I don't give a flying ★■◆● what shape the earth is. It has no bearing on my life's hopes, dreams, or ambitions. Eratosthenes calculated the circumference of the Earth in 240 B.C. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earth%27s ... atosthenes What's taking you so long?
Then just tell me. These other haters are not men of science like you and me. Flat moon science. The earth is for sure a tetrahedron, only because the moon is flat.

Or your "ninja" vexing. That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me. lol That wasn't a very nice thing I said but he deserves it.TigerRaptor wrote: ↑Sun Jun 25, 2023 2:20 pm Because Neo can't keep his " big mouth shut". Didn't think anyone wouldn't notice your ninja edit Mr. Neo sir.

...didn't add up to what exactly? Do you have any idea what the number you obtained actually means?
I don't either but he can:
Would you say that "adds up"?GPT4 wrote: Sure! Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation states that the gravitational force (F) between two objects is directly proportional to the product of their masses (m1 and m2), and inversely proportional to the square of the distance (r) between them. The formula is:
F = G * (m1 * m2) / r²
Where:
- F is the gravitational force between the two objects,
- G is the gravitational constant, which is 6.67430 × 10^-11 N(m/kg)²,
- m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects, and
- r is the distance between the centers of the masses of the two objects.
Now, let's plug in the values for the Earth and the Sun:
- Mass of Earth, m1 = 5.972 x 10^24 kg,
- Mass of Sun, m2 = 1.989 x 10^30 kg,
- Average distance between Earth and Sun, r ≈ 149.6 million kilometers = 149.6 x 10^6 x 10^3 m (we have to convert kilometers to meters).
Plug these values into the formula:
F = 6.67430 × 10^-11 * (5.972 x 10^24 * 1.989 x 10^30) / (149.6 x 10^6 x 10^3)²
≈ 3.52 x 10^22 N
This means that the gravitational force between the Earth and the Sun is approximately 3.52 x 10^22 newtons. This force is mutual, meaning that the Earth pulls on the Sun with the same force that the Sun pulls on the Earth. However, since the Sun is much more massive, it doesn't accelerate nearly as much as the Earth does. This is why the Earth orbits the Sun and not the other way around.
Emphasis: REASONABLE ESTIMATEGPT4 wrote: Let's check if the calculation is consistent with the numbers provided:
G = 6.67430 × 10^-11 N(m/kg)²
m1 (Earth) = 5.972 × 10^24 kg
m2 (Sun) = 1.989 × 10^30 kg
r = 149.6 × 10^6 x 10^3 m (converted from kilometers to meters)
Plug these values into the formula:
F = 6.67430 × 10^-11 * (5.972 × 10^24 * 1.989 × 10^30) / (149.6 × 10^6 × 10^3)²
≈ 6.67430 × 10^-11 * (1.188 × 10^55) / (2.239 × 10^22)
≈ 6.67430 × 10^-11 * 5.309 × 10^32
≈ 3.54 x 10^22 N
This result is very close to the previously mentioned value of 3.52 x 10^22 N. The small difference can be attributed to rounding errors in intermediate steps.
So yes, the calculation adds up and is consistent with Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation. It provides a reasonable estimate of the gravitational force between the Earth and the Sun.
