Cat, I will answer differently.
Propaganda in the media have in the U.S., and Russia. Pointless to argue about it. I had long been not watching Russian TV, because it is impossible to watch. Many advertisements and hypocrisy. I look at the news from the Internet only. I see that lately Putin harshly trying to influence the news sites. But I can always find independent opinions. With the Internet today, it is impossible to make an all-out propaganda.

This news authorities at different levels. Russian media are lying on the little things in their country. To justify the crimes of officials Inside the country. But I do not see a blatant lie regarding international relations.

Why would they not lie to justify things they do outside the country too? For you to believe that you would have to be selectively trusting them for no reason.
I don't believe you are that inconsistent in the level of trust you invest in them. I think you are just saying that here to avoid the point that was raised. An easy excuse.

Why is President of the United States himself defiles the lies that can not be hidden? You are accustomed to dealing with the natives, who know nothing and can not? Even Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie "Predator" was genuinely surprised, what right do the natives to shoot U.S. helicopters using heat-seeking warheads? We're kind of like came here to shoot defenseless shepherds from M61 Vulcan?

Well, that's true here too. If you think Russian TV is bad with commercials and hypocrisy, American TV is no better. I'd like to strangle that American Petroleum spokeswomen who stands there all sanctimonious while extolling the virtues of clean and safe for the environment natural gas fracking, and those sickening pharmaceutical drug ads, especially the ones for male troubles, that make me want to retch. Half of our news programs are nothing but in-program commercial ads.
As for internet censoring, we're just as vulnerable to having parts of it blocked or interfered with in the U.S. by either corporations or our own government.

Sigma,your memories have been planted. And, for a distinct purpose, which the rest of the world is starting to see. Oh, and Predator was a movie, not reality. You know that, right?
And TC, Turkey is NOT an example of US citizens being denied access to sites for this country. Can you provide examples of that?

Read toward the bottom of the article. They DO reference things going on in the U.S. that people who want an open internet should be aware of. The paragraph is titled: "Could it happen here".

I read it, and 'could it' doesn't mean, 'it is'........We're talking about a Russian dictator who IS DOING THIS NOW, and actually far more extensively than Turkey. Getting into 'what-ifs' in this thread, given Sigma's limited translation abilities, and strong brainwashing, is just going to end up being seen by him as justification for a host of laughable claims.

Not now mostly, but what about in the future? Our internet rights are slowly being eroded because of decisions from the courts, government spying, corporate control of content and access, and international trade agreements.
