I hope I'm not misunderstanding you, but it's my opinion that Bush has been under attack for quite a while, and attack or defend (or maintain) is all we've been exposed to. I realized the other day that there's a lot about him that I don't remember, and the reason is I haven't been exposed to it or reminded of it in so long. Would you say that's a fair assessment?
It's my opinion that Bush has fought the battle that he deemed most important, but certain aspects of his presidency have suffered neglect since 9/11.
I remember that Bush was known as a man of his word--keeping his campaign promises when he first came to office.

Ferno and I were discussing the stock market drop when Reagan finished his second term and Herbert Walker Bush became President. Daddy Bush-President #41, Clinton-President #42, Dubya Bush-President #43

Heh, It was Bush senior that coined the phrase “Voodoo Economics” during a debate so yea, the market knew the difference.

If the plan is already laid out on one site, wouldn't it be redundant to have it on the other?

All his sites have been scrubbed of numerous campaign promises.
And I'm no web guru but even I know you could take a copy of a web site and re-tool it without having to touch the one that is available to the public. You could then upload the new content and replace the old in an instant. So the excuse that they were doing maintenance is just lame, it's no excuse at all it's just the talking point issued to the kool-Aid drinkers.
But don't believe me, I'm sure there are plenty of rabid republicans who have copies of everything he ever put up and will be trying to get people to pay attention to the missing pieces whenever the new content is loaded up. Of course without the media to run with it don't expect Obama to care too much.
But his pass may be expired soon because at some point the media will want to regain it's relevance and try to engage in some journalism.

He could make their association official and hire them as his presidential PR team.

I am a
web guru, and you're absolutely right. Any website designer worth a damn runs a test server for the purpose of development. To
remove content from a website in preparation for an update or overhaul is unnecessary work unless you specifically don't want it to be viewed anymore.

His campaign Website was/is this:
http://www.barackobama.com/
That is the Website he used to campaign for and win the presidency. As far as I know, all of the original promises that were up on Nov. 4th are still up on that one, but I am open to arguments suggesting otherwise.
The change.gov site is one that was created *after* he was elected President.
You could make a weak argument that the change.gov site is a campaign Website, but, by calling it a campaign Website, you are being misleading at best, especially now that you know which Website was his real campaign Website!

At the time of this posting, this is a cache from Oct 16th:
Ask.com Cache of barackobama.com/issues
This is as it appears now:
http://www.barackobama.com/issues/
I cannot see any substantial difference in his actual campaign Website by eyeballing, but I may not be a Web guru!

If you hate the person, you can make things up.

Not made up. You tend to not to understand how Obama's rhetoric affects things. I suspect most of you have forgotten Obama's plan on increasing the capital gains tax. So to anticipate this, stock holders understand they better sell now at a lower tax rate than to wait until Obama takes power and institutes his spread the wealth plan and takes more out of stock holders potential earnings.
So directly as a result of Alfred E Obama's complete lack of knowledge as to how the economy is driven, we are now in the 2nd week of a declining stock market.
For those of you with the equivelent of a 3rd grade education in economics, the value of stocks determines the value of a company. The less percieved value a company has, the less it can borrow to see it thru harder times. Without the capital to meet payroll and expenses, companies then lay off people. If there are only a few companies involved not so much happens. When it happens to large numbers of companies, then recession occurs.
I suspect if Obama really wants to help the economy, he would make a statement that capital gains taxes will be lowered to help improve the stock market. Instead, just like my Jackson MI analogy, Obama, Reid and Pelosi will still try to push their socialist agenda without understand the cause and effect, and thus deepen our recession.
We are now in the 2nd week of Obama's win and the stock market is still going down. Time for Obama and friends to "Change" their socialist views and start telling investors that higher taxes are not on the way. Forget to know who drives the economy will cost us dearly. But then, a good socialist wants more poor people so he has more voters dependent on him and thus easier to control.
