Birdseye, I'd leave it open and keep the hardcore terrorist there. Last thing we need is the hardcore brought into our country and run the risk of them escaping. Trading one prison for another is not solving anything, only placating a select few.

Hell I say move them to the mainland put them in general population and let them get shived!

What % is your Hardcore bunch? We have to get SOMETHING going here, not all these people can just be indefinitely held.

Bird, many of the prisoners have already been freed or returned to their country of origin. Some now have pleasant jobs on tropical islands. How many left in custody are hardcore? I don't know, but I think most of the non hardcore have already been freed.

Personally, I don't really care where they're kept. Whether they're detained in the states or in Gitmo isn't a big deal to me.

My beef is with the fact that they can be held indefinitely without trial, and skirted around our judicial system.
