Is this not a government of the people, by the people, for the people? How am I out of place? And what difference does the 'will of our government' make? Are we not ruled by law?

Are we in the wrong for wanting to uphold the laws put in place by Americans, ignored by a corrupt government, and broken by illegal immigrants?

*EDIT*: I remind you we're talking politics here, what our government should do, not what I'm going to go out and do to my neighbors.

I won't claim to be totally right in my attitude toward President Obama. What should I say of a man that cannot open his mouth without obscuring the truth? Of an administration that now pretends to be doing something about illegal immigration only to accomplish their own political ends at this time, when any one of them could have done something about illegal immigration at any time if that was really their goal? I'm not saying you don't have a point to gain, but I have difficulty with the intricacies of not calling a spade a spade. Maybe it would be more respectful simply to stick to the facts, rather than drawing accusative conclusions? I guess that's probably right.

It would be a mistake to believe that I have no respect the the authority that he is entrusted with. Or for the man himself because of that authority.

I struggle with the concept of authority on many levels. It's one of the most difficult things in the world to have a solid grasp of, I think. I believe some people lay too low, in laziness or weakness allowing themselves to be taken advantage of unnecessarily. Would you have taken the authorities to task on their abuse of authority like Paul did in Acts?, when he demanded that they come themselves and get him out, when they tried to release him quietly?. I guess a good question to ask yourself when it comes right down to it is, are you motivated by the fear of God, or is it something else?

Thorne my only goal is to strike a balance and try to discern each thing as it comes. To be circumspect in all things and try to find that narrow path. My fear is only of God and nothing else and that fear is not shaking in my boots, but just an acknowledgment of his authority as The Most High God. I don't think God is worried one bit so neither am I.

Flip I think the key here is rebel, you should not rebel agains the Authorities, but you can question. by rebelling against authorities you are rebelling against God's appointed leaders and will suffer the concequences, but as a nation of Laws we do have avenues in which to affect changes in our government that are not rebellion. the Tea party is one of them as our laws provide for freedom of speach and assembly. BUT if law enforcement is involved and they tell you to dispurse and you rebel then you are in violation of Roman's 13. also keep in mind

Oh don't get me wrong at all. There is a time and place for everything , even rebellion. I am in no way in agreeance with that man, but I do believe God has a purpose for everything.

There is no doubt about that. even the installation of Hilter caused the fulfillment prophecy with the creation of Israel in 1949

Yes exactly. If not for the atrocities committed against them , they would have never garnered the sympathy needed for them to reestablish their nation some 2000 years later. A miracle in itself. No other people, once dispersed as they were, has ever been able to do that. Even stranger than that, in just 200 and some odd years, the Indians have almost been bred out. Not so with the Jews, even after a couple thousand years.
