Yeah, the difference between D1 and D2 is that in D1 you'll die instantly, while in D2 you'll die anyway

As for cool robot combos... lemme think. As far as aesthetics go:

Class 2 Drone + Logikill

Boarshead + Class 1 Heavy Driller

Small Hulk + Lou Guard + Green Platrformer (Ouch.)

MAX + Super Hulk

Class 1 Drone + E-Bandit (already tried in one of my levels)

Smelter + Smelter II + Red Fatty Jr

Advanced Lifter + Secondary Lifter + Diamond Claw

Fiddler + Medium Lifter + Compact Lifter

Can't think of any more. First of all, I'll compile a list of bots and then arrange them difficulty-wise into categories, then I'll sort them a bit more according to theme and we'll think about placement later

Did Vertigo Series get its own release or was it only ever packaged with Descent II? I have been looking for an image of the Vertigo box but I cannot find one. I've never seen it on eBay or anything. The only inkling that there even is such a thing is this image, but I don't know what or where it came from:



This is on the D2X-XL and the Planet Descent forum alongside links to the game's soundtrack. Where did that image come from?

I have no idea where that came from. I remember finding a picture of the Vertigo box but it wasn't that picture. The robot was a different one.
I like that picture though.

Now that I think about it, I might have seen a picture of it before. It's the class 2 driller that's on the box, which is why it's on the Infinite Abyss box.

It is the installer background when you go to install Vertigo.

Vertigo's driller is a plasma bot thats green and silver. This bot is that light lifter that shows up right away.

Actually it all made me think to make room for more Vertigo slots in D1,5. It wouldn't really be fair to only have 8 Vertigo levels vs 15 D1 and 24 Counterstrike ones. Perhaps it all should be more balanced, like 15-15-15 or something ;x
