My opinion is that while a LOT of programs inherently favor white people, and specifically well-off white people(farm and land abatements, tax shelters, etc), they are not race-specific in the wording because they need not be.
Yes, the laws aren't race specific in those cases, any race can own a large farm or use a tax shelter if they have those kind of assets.
So any advantage that you imply is held by whites in the situations you are referencing is simply the result of white people having taken advantage of the opportunity and the resources available to them and the freedom to pursue business dealings with other people so they acquired those assets.

If "equality" is the goal, you need to recognize those "advantages" as many call them are merely people living and interacting with private citizens and government the way it is supposed to be for everyone. Those aren't advantages...they are 'The Goal'!
The law has been cleansed of racism. If there are prosecutors not following that line of equal justice for all then you must remove them. If there are landlords or bankers or politicians, etc. etc. that are not applying their trade with equality as a criteria you must remove them.

But if you want to "fix" the injustice of white landowners who have inherited wealth that somewhere back in history can be traced to the blood and sweat of slaves then you must be looking to do more than create equality today.

The reality is some white people have acquired wealth going back many generations, like you for example. It can not be reversed. Since your wealth is no doubt the result of holding and torturing slaves to build your empire what should be done about you and your current families 'advantage'? The program is likely a good thing to do but the way you and others characterize the situation that warrants it is detrimental to the progress you allegedly seek to make!

Citing the historic origins of white wealth in the context of discussing current disparity and social inequalities....calling it 'white privilege' in loaded rhetoric designed to polarize blacks against whites.... is not even close to being a champion of equality. You are doing something terribly wrong.
Whether you are smart enough to recognize it or not I don't know but it is the equivalent of pouring poison in another persons wound and blaming your neighbors for it!

What is happening is the left side of the American political spectrum is stirring up hatred and resentment and using the results of that as a weapon to force the other side to concede to whatever programs the left deems worthy. Programs that the left uses to buy/keep voters on their side.
The more successful this tactic is the more the left needs the polarization and racial strife to continue or its weapon loses effectiveness.

The Palestinians could tell you all about how the Iranians use them that way...at least here they would just be labeled sellouts and Uncle Tom's...over there they are murdered for speaking out.
Either way though it makes you and your Party more like Yasser Arafat and the PLO than Dr. King and a people concerned with equality.

Your tactics make achieving racial harmony in America as difficult as creating peace in the Middle East.

sorry, Will, but that rant simply isn't worth a detailed rebuttal. Suffice it to say, wrong on many levels, but you are entitled to your opinion.

You cant rebut it as it is a pretty darn good post. Rebutting it would mean you have some ammunition to refute it. By the looks of it you don't.

Based on your track record on bashing democrats at every turn, how could we not? You can't get away with playing innocent with me.

Since we're on whites-only benefit programs, I found four, within a half hour of searching (while being dead tired to boot)

think what you want. It was a collection of ignorant idiocy, not worth dignifying further.

Really....with hundreds to choose from, you pick two that were intended as parodies.
