What does that even mean? I want to preserve what freedom and liberty we can for as long as we can. There is a hard limit the Earth’s ecology provides for us to work under, which simply doesn’t care about our social constructs. So yes, I’m willing to restrict your liberty to do things that can be shown to be harmful to the ecosystem in order to preserve the ecosystem to benefit future generations. Civilization need not be tyrannical to be sustainable unless you view living within the confines of the ecosystem itself tyrannical.

Gonna drop that one. I think the real problem here is a lack of appreciation for what liberty and human rights mean, and what government is capable of.

I'm all for enacting laws to prevent harm to the environment. I'm also pretty sure you don't know where this limit is, or how hard it is, etc.
