Mr. McConnell added: “But he has also has the right to make a different choice. He can let the people decide and make this an actual legacy-building moment rather than just another campaign roadshow.”

So if Obama nominates someone, he'll be making it an issue in the election. (bad) Instead, he shouldn't nominate someone, so we can make it an issue in the election. (good)

Can't be any weirder than Pelosi saying how they have to pass a certain bill (health care) before they know what's in it.

pull that number out of your ass? No one is taxing ANYONE'S income or wealth to the tune of 90%. Even when we HAD a 90% bracket it was only income over a certain threshold and the overall takeout for the top earners averaged about 50%
