You have no conformation about that slick, so make no assumptions. As for any further personal comments, either everyone find some relevant material to discuss about the OP, or this topic has devolved into a tit for tat fest that will need to be closed.

Back to the topic. What I'd like to know is why this British agent felt compelled to have to go into hiding in the first place? Threats?

well, along with the obvious fact that sort of guy doesn't tend toward the glare of the spotlight, there are probably a few folks who'd like to get to him, should the report be valid, and maybe a few if it isn't. He would strike me as enough of a longtime pro to know more than we ever could about how severe the actual risk is, and there would be no need for formal 'threats' to be issued. It isn't like the Gambinos sent the Patriarchas little notes before they whacked someone..........
