Chelsea Clinton used her family foundation’s cash to pay for her wedding, living expenses and taxes on gifts of cash from her parents, according to a bombshell email made public Sunday.

Doug Band, formerly a top aide to President Bill Clinton, griped about the former first daughter’s spending in a Jan. 4, 2012, email released by WikiLeaks.

“The investigation into her getting paid for campaigning, using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade, taxes on money from her parents…,” Band wrote to John Podesta, now Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.

who cares? Nothing is going to happen to the Clinton Foundation. Why would you be so interested, during inaugural week, in such a distraction?

I guess I missed that the first time around. This was the best I could find in terms of further reporting:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fac ... b883840175
But no evidence has emerged that even volunteers were used, and the Clinton Foundation denied any resources at all were diverted to the Clinton wedding. “No Foundation funds or resources were used for the wedding,” said Brian Cookstra, a Foundation spokesman, even after we ran various scenarios past him, including use of personal staff and even volunteers.

“As was reported widely at the time, the Clintons hired a wedding planner,” Cookstra said. “The planning, management, and execution of the event was handled by him, which included managing vendors, venue, etc.”

Bryan Rafanelli, the wedding planner, said that when he read a news article alleging the foundation paid for Chelsea’s wedding, he thought, “Oh come on, that’s crazy.”

Hate? How about this word, TG:

J U S T I C E

We are a nation of laws, not of men.

Once that stops being true, we're just another banana republic.

Nobody should be above the law.

Absolutely right.
While we are a nation of people, sometimes without the common law. There is another law that is called justice.

Add: A little hodgepodge turned out, of course ) But, quite often, people solve problems without police. If you understand what I mean.

She's been put through our system NS, even the FBI looked at her supposed illegal activity and who couldn't find a reason to indict her on ANYTHING, an FBI which clearly favored Trump in this election as well. JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED. So quit bitchin' about Clinton, because as a nation of laws, she went through that system and was not charged with anything. Charging her with something NOW is akin to a forming a tribunal in your typical Banana Republic and hanging her just because she looked cross-eyed at the "judge".

The irony.

Persecuting the innocent is another measure of a banana republic.

you don't get this whole rule of law thing, do you?? Probably no human being has been subjected to more legal scrutiny and not even been charged, let along convicted by a jury of her peers. Now, as some deep philosophical point, no, I don't believe she is innocent because I don't believe anyone is innocent once they've reached adulthood alive. Do I think she committed some grave criminal act? No.

Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. So far the people investigating (and there have been MANY determined people), even some people who have blatantly let their partisanship against her cloud their judgement, have failed to turn up anything to even charge her with. Just because you and every other banana republic tinpot dictator wannabe have personal vendettas that demand she be a criminal doesn't actually make her one. The rule of law doesn't work that way.
