Those are some bigass rounds. Nearly five seconds of firing is a long time. That's a "relatively" low rate of fire compared to some of the gatlin cannons on other aircraft. A squeeze might equate to like a 20 round burst. 20 rounds ... 10 to 15 actually contacting if they do, at muzzle velocity plus the vleocity of the aircraft; and, if it's a headon strafe, the velocity of the oncoming enemy. I would venture a guess at nearly twice the speed of sound of impact. ... ouch. Even still. If not that fast. That's a badass cannon. All the missle tech and anti-missle tech is enough to turn your stomach. ;)

I REALLY wanted to be a fighter pilot when I was a kid until I found out what was being shot from the ground at passers-by. :P .. a warehouse job looked pretty good after that.

Just wanted to pass this along. Notice how when the pilot performs the cobra, he can't get his nose completely pointed to his "six". A smart adversary would know this and stay slightly below him. This way the Russian couldn't get missle lock on his opponent but his opponent sure could get missle lock on the Russian.
