it was the person who actually uploaded it to random sites that put the name of the author in, and most people just guessed.
i made it. so what?

I contemplated on putting your name on it for a while, but in end decided to just have the author listed as unknown--yes, unknown. Intentionally, there was no author listed at all. Everyone and anyone who has played Halcyon (like [OOW]Brutal Ben) knew who created it. Those that haven't, however, interpreted the one who posted it as the creator (Either Kurupt, myself, or Team [] is listed as the author at various sites).Kyouryuu wrote:To be fair, you don't build levels, and so you have no right to tell me to "deal with it." I don't like it when people blatantly take my work without giving me any credit or permission. It's like taking some creative work of yours - artwork, a story, a level - and then passing it off as their own. Halcyon is not public domain. If someone wanted to clone it or port it, they should ask me and I suspect that unless it looks like utter crap, I'd allow it. But I think I'm at least owed an e-mail asking. Least they could do for an idea that wasn't theirs.STRESSTEST wrote:deal with it
especially since the Halo interpretation is frelling ugly.
Why I didn't ask: I somehow knew you'd say no.I suspect that unless it looks like utter crap, I'd allow it
It's more of an exact, scaled copy than an "interpretation" (*.orf->*.oof->...)...interpretation
