Resized. (Limit is 800x600 @ 100kB, though I'm most concerned about the width than I am the height.)

btw, looks like its gonna hit in my neck of the woods too!
That dot at "8PM Tuesday" is my house

You mean AM. ;) They're all listed in AM times.

At any rate, I'm about where the red dot is (updated the image).

Hope this third one stays as is. 40mph is nothing. I wonder what global conditions sprouted these three in a row?

"Obviously, on any other day, both of them would have gone to jail but that really would have backed up traffic,"

What an ass hole pig. And they wonder why people have no respect for them.

Well, it looks like Frances lost a ton of power. Wind speeds have dropped from category 4 speeds (~140mph) to a breezy 80mph. I'd still be concerned about the downpour though.

LOL @ the caption!

"Light Rain"

If 20 inches pred. sounds like light rain to them, I'd hate to see heavy. ;)

Considering that Frances is a tropical storm and was a hurricane several hours ago, I haven't done too bad. The rain started on Saturday night and hasn't stopped since. Several wind gusts per hour, but no serious damage. The only thing I have to complain about is lots of standing water. And the occasional brown out every hour or so.

Not bad, considering I was within a couple of miles from the eye. :)

Predictions for Ivan's path are sketchy. For most of yesterday its path was supposed to be the Gulf of Mexico with possible landfall at Louisiana. Its current one (at the time of this post) puts it hitting Florida at almost exactly the same spot where Charley hit.

And if all indications hold true, its going to be a mean mofo! Especially when it hits that warm carribean water....

Check the links I put up for it. They're still active. The current one puts it hitting Florida's southwest coast...practically the same spot Charley hit...

Probably not.
Ivan The Great

Ivan III Vasilevich, better known as Ivan the Great ruled from 1462-1505. In many ways, he became great by continuing with the work that his predecessors had started. However, he worked on a larger scale...

The poor people in Florida are just getting nailed non-stop. I can't imagine what it must be like to keep bording up houses and being told to leave town.

But I talk to a few people down there and they say they are pretty much used to it.
