We are probably just going to get a 32" flatscreen HD CRT. Nothing fancy. We are saving the $$ for the home theater we are going to put into the basement.

32 inch HD is nothing to sneeze at.

I got $95 in Wal-Mart gift-cards and $40 in cash, but better than that I bought a 2005 Honda Civic EX a couple weeks earlier (more for my birthday, as I got it on the 9th, the day before my b-day). So I'm pretty happy. I gave a lot more than I received, as long as I don't count what I received from myself, even beyond the car.

Munchkin plus the expansion packs: Unnatural Axe and Clerical Errors
I also should have a box of presents waiting for me at the office, but they haven't been open since I got back.

I guess no one likes how I dress.

One question: do the Guinness/hair dryer serve any purpose in the cooling process?

guinness has a place in every activity.
hairdryer? no idea, maybe testing the cooling rig.

And what is/was in the shot glass?!! Wow what a great Christmas present Pun (ya bassage). I am sooo jealous.

hairdryer was for heating up the glued on heatsink on the vidcard. Not pictured is the screwdriver I used to pry it off, thus gouging the card and facking up some of the traces (but that's a whole other story).
Oh, and that's Don Julio Anejo in the shotglass.

Spent the day alone.
Not because that's what I wanted.
Got absolutely NOTHING for Christmas again.
Perhaps that will change next year. (As in seeing my only child for Christmas 2005!)
DOH!

Why do people spend that much on gifts? It makes no sense to me.

Possible reasons:
1) love
2) economics (is it worth $20 for a warm fuzzy feeling?)
3) nothing better to do
4) bribery
