You obviously don't know what you're talking about.
Ballistically the 9mmP is just about the worst caliber choice next to the .32ACP for self defense.
Then to try to compare it to a .45ACP?
Caliber choice aside:
Baretta's are poorly balanced, bulky ,inherently inaccurate and have feeding/ejection problems in stock form.
In the hands of an experienced combat shooter a 1911 cannot be beat, period. The 1911 was the milatary weapon of choice from WW-2 until the mid-90's when Baretta beat out Colt by greasing government palms.
Even if Colt contracted with the government to build weak 9mm pistols, I'd take the Colt over *any* other personal sidearm.
I suggest you do some research before you call a 1911 a "POFS" and attempt compare the 92 and ballistics of a .45/9mmP.
Maybe that's why you don't see Baretta's dominating ISPCA comps, it's always Colt's, Springs, AO, Kimbers, et cetera.
Silly rabbit.

Xciter post a picture of swords if you ever come around to it. If any of got weapons start post them lets see what you got. Butter knifes don't count.
But these here would be mine for starters.
The sword to the left is very old but sharp as hell, and off to the right is the Katana not very expensive. I'm paining on buying another Katana but this one is going to cost me around 700.00

I have matching 1991A1's both blued, w/ red wilson combat hammers and triggers. Looks sweet. But spend 99% of their life in the safe.

When you state an opinion like that it simple shows that your opinion isn't based on fact and once again, you don't know what you're talking about.

Since when has the opinion of the DBB Pathological Liar ever counted for anything? Little, if anything, he says is based on fact anyways.

Scimitar's huh? Arabian swords aren't they?
Badass they are....

That was some interesting info about long bows. I never knew they could be used for a quarterstaff.
And yes, please post pictures and a discription of these weapons. Some I do not know about and I would really like to know about them. I am especially interested in rare or exclusive weaponry such as the Katar.
BTW, I did some reading on the Katar and it seems that some more rare versions were made, where they could split up into three seperate blades by squeezing the handle. Very cool.

The Infamous Kris
A picture of a nice Kris
A shield of various minture replica bolos.
While the moros did not have the quality of steel and craftsmanship other asian countries had, they made up in creativity and tenacity. Like the Bolo scabbards. Most are not scabbards as you would think of them, but rather two halves joined around the blade by a light wrapping of string. When needed, the sword was swung straight from the hip, cutting thru the string and dropping the scabbard on the ground. The most famous example of this creativity is most likely the bailsong knife, also known as a 'butterfly' knife. Its scabbard was also its handle, and can be opened with a 'flick' of one hand.
Moro weapons and culture have a very colorful history. For over 200 years different countries such as Japan and China tried to take them over but the tenacity and great martial arts systems (Kali/Escrima/Arnis etc)fought off invaders.
When America invaded the marines were filling moros with bullets but before they died they would come up and slice the heads off the marines. The marines then issued oversized leather collars for thier necks and replaced the .38 sidearm that was carried with the .45 for more stopping power.

R.A Salvatore huh? I am not familiar with this author. What books are these? Is there a lot of sword play and discriptions of fighthing styles? They just might be a good read.
Good info. I will take a read on these bolos as well.
Also, anyone know what the first sniper rifle looked like by chance?
Like the ones seen in movies such as Return To Lonesome Dove and Crossfire Trail?

Yes MD, but I'm looking for specifics on the scimitar and simular swords.
Something to help me establish a way to describe a sword fight correctly.
