Lothar, in a specialized field such as game programming, I tend to believe it's a lot harder to find another job than if you were working at a place like FedEx.
Besides if you want to leave, you first have to find another opening, do the necessary steps to secure that job, and then finally leave the old place. Which could take months to do.

Leave EA. Work someplace crappy for a while if you have to.
Simply put... if you stay on with them, it's your own fault. If the market simply won't offer you a better deal elsewhere, and you're willing to take their deal rather than leave, that's your problem.
Now, I won't buy their games because I don't like how they treat their employees... but I don't sympathize with employees who choose to stay. They can go find another job. It might not be in the gaming industry -- they might end up working at FedEx or something -- but they can find one.

Lothar, some people don't have that luxury. Finding new work takes time, and they might not have the money to pay the bills and such while they go job hunting. Hell, some jobs require you to move, and again sufficient funding may not be available. You can't just up and leave a job that treats you like crap if you don't have somewhere else to go.

Thats why you have a new job in place before you give your two week notice.
As Ferny mentioned it most likely will take time, but thats why you make sure that step is done before you move on.

now thats just GAY. EA are being sore losers.
NFL2k5 is far more enjoyable than Madden and for just 20bucks cant beat that.
They got upstaged by a cheaper product on the same quality level as Madden.
