Nothing from the Star Wars series? The list has no credibility until such an atrocity has been rectified. The list also needs Jurassic Park, E.T., Home Alone, Cast Away, Spiderman, Mission Impossible, Jaws, Air Force One, Gladiator, Ocean's Eleven, A Beautiful Mind, Speed, Patch Adams, Sleepless in Seattle, Lethal Weapon, the Truman Show, You've Got Mail, Die Hard, and Father of the Bride. I'm sure I'm forgetting some, but that's a start.

Clayman - you have a point with a lot of those. They may not be perfect movies, but all the ones I remember are well worth watching for various reasons.

Tommy Boy? I never did get why everyone thinks that this movie is so funny.
Oh, and I think you need to for sure add "Life Aquatic."

There's so many that I could add to this list. However, I will limit it to just three must-see movies so far unmentioned:
Glengary Glenross
Mother Night
Gattaca
buy, rent, beg, borrow, or steal them.

Flabby I think we have similar taste in movies.
Also, the Truman Show would be an appreciated addition. I know it's Jim Carrey, but that is the most trippy ★■◆● on the planet. It still scares me.

Forgot these classic ones:
The Final Countdown
The Poseidon Adventure (the ORIGINAL one, not that cheap knockoff that recently aired)
