I am so glad I wasn't the one pointing out that Woody completely made the argument for human causation.

a statement about the Jet Stream showing what is happening on the other side of the ridge.

Oh, and here's a real gem from woody's link:
Finally, if history is a guide, it is safe to say that weak solar activity for a prolonged period of time can have a negative impact on global temperatures in the troposphere which is the bottom-most layer of Earth’s atmosphere - and where we all live.
So if the Sun is indeed in an extended period of minimal activity, and yet we still continue to produce the highest temperatures on record, that's pretty much direct evidence that solar activity isn't the main driving force behind climate change. Thanks for shooting your own argument in the foot, buddy!
Have you overlooked the global warming charts have flat-lined? Come back in another 10 years and lets see what is going on.

Yes but when the warmers were saying the Great Lakes were drying up due to Global Warming and now that their levels are getting higher than normal...is all due to warming. I guess when I see a mile high glacier out the back window that will be due to warming also. With you guys you can't win.

look, you already proved human causation, above, for global warming. The arctic is warming this season, visibly(causing cold temps to the south, ironically). The plateau observation was proven wrong already. I ask again, why do you insist on repeating proven lies?

It does not depend on Putin and other leaders. The system is configured in such a way that even if in Russia there will be no living person, the system will kill the aggressor without the participation of people. It's really a terrible thing. Sorry, but links to more detailed information, I can not give you.

Seriously, you cite a blog that links a source trying to explain away the flat line as incomplete data? Always something to shore up your claims.

And the GISS data is also bad I take it. Makes you wonder at the competency of the people collecting the data. Maybe TB OP was the reason why.

Fred Astaire would have been proud of Woody's dancing, there. Thanks, Ferno, you beat me to the punch. I sort of expected a finger-point at the source defense from Woody, before showing him the actual data.

Of course the warmers latch onto the newly manipulated data like it was there only date to the prom. However, looking at the GISS charts we see for mean global air temps you will notice a decided flat line starting around 200:
http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.A2.gif
Or if you care to see the surface temps:
http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs_v3/Fig.C.gif
Now tell me this is all bad data or incomplete.

around 200?
look, the bottom line is that you or I have NO WAY of knowing if there is a pause or not, there just isn't enough time to tell, yet. The fact still remains that Arctic Ice is disappearing, weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, and we have to address it, as a HUMAN RACE. The fact that some people don't wish to address, or even acknowledge the rise in temps, is pathetic. Even if your 'flat-line' guess turns out to be true, your so-called flat line is still rising, just at a slower rate. This isn't comforting.

woody is the same goon who declared an ice age in the 1940s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s every time the global temps declined a few degrees. I guess since the temps aren't dropping anymore the only thing left to do is tout a "pause." Have fun with that.

Cool story bro. Rather than tout s brief pause, you might want to question why there hasn't been any significant colling in the last several decades. Go get to work on that. Oh wait, I already know the answer; the sun, right?

Well this cycle has the fewest sun spots since the little ice age.

and yet the temps still keep rising, albeit at a reduced rate. Once again, Woody, you either prove human causation or at least provide serious underpinnings for such a theory.

I wish our troubles were as petty as yours... If in Oregon or Minnesota frozen waterfall, it is perceived as a catastrophe, In Russia the temperature is below 40 degrees Celsius is the usual standard phenomenon. Believe me, a lot of people in Russia see in their dreams, that in Russia it would be a little warmer.
Abiqua Falls (Marion County, Oregon)

What did Ferno's remark prove?
He started the "its blank outside, so it must be global warming climate change". (by inference)
(no he didn't start it in the ultimate sense, just that sequence)

Well, I'll have to get one of my friends over at the
New York Times working on an interpretation if I want that little tidbit to
prove anything substantial.
In the meantime it was just to sort of offset Ferno's local report.

Temperature rise has flatlined no matter how much you think otherwise. And saying I have proved something by a simple statement shows why I think warmers like you are brain dead.

Might want to read the link to get a fuller story:
We are currently more than six years into Solar Cycle 24 and today the sun is virtually spotless despite the fact that we are still in what is considered to be its solar maximum phase. Solar cycle 24 began after an unusually deep solar minimum that lasted from 2007 to 2009 which included more spotless days on the sun compared to any minimum in almost a century.
