You know you've lived in the south too long when you make jokes that no one else can understand.

For those who hadn't heard this one...

A few years ago, U.S. auto manufacturers started adding data recorders to their vehicles similar to the \"black boxes\" used in airplanes in order to gather and analyze data from the moments before a collision in an effort to improve safety. One of the components records the voices of the people in the car. A survey of these recordings revealed that in most of the country, in the moments before impact, either a warning (such as, \"Look out!\") or an exclamation (\"Oh s***!\") was shouted. In the south, however, the most common thing heard before an accident was, \"Hey, hold my beer and watch this!\"

I think Jeff Foxworthy has made a joke about this too. Something along the lines of \"If your last words on Gods green earth were - hold my beer, watch this - you could be a redneck\"

It's better than crappy made up and mispelled words like "ciggy", "chippie", "sickie", "colour-ie", etc.

It's not that she's three, it is what they are called.

For those not in the know, this is a sippy cup.

Here is their story.

As any parent will tell you, they are a god send.

Don't lecture me on sippy cups! Who do you think you are? How dare you! Why would you be so rude to me when I was just having some fun? God! What's wrong with you! :P

You know your from the south when you talk to others and not one person understands each other, but out of respect you all agree. \"hey that i did der back den..\" \"i aint gon disgree with y'all there got a poinnnttt.\"

ADD: Came up with this one out of witnessing it at WAL MART!

I was grabbing some ready to bake cookie dough and i overheard this dad and his kid by the grocery aisle dedicated for beer (another way you know your in the south.) Dad goes \"go grab me the 12 of natural light.\" kid: \"You sure dad? the natural light taste better.\"

I wasnt paying much attention, after a few seconds... I realized what the kid said and turned around to see how old he was... No older than 11 or 12.

A little something for the ignorant:

Down in the south, "Hey, watch this!" is commonly followed by said individual doing something rediculously stupid, and often involving some form of pyrotechnics.
