If Uplink Studios started accepting a waiting list for Core Decision would you register?
If you vote please take a moment to post your location example....
TEXAS
*This does not obligate you.
UPDATE - We all understand the desire to see something, but based on what wev've seen and heard to date, So the questions is would you be willing to register as someone that would be interested in purchasing the game when is is available.
I voted yes but since I created the poll I don't get a vote

I voted YES but I would only do it under ONE condition. We need SOMETHING to give us an idea of what the game would be like.....screenshots......promotional trailers.........ANYTHING!

YES please. Xam, I'm sure we will get something beforehand, probably as much as a demo, even.

I voted yes. It's the same concept as patiently waiting for a Harley Davidson to be built for you.

At present, I wouldn't register. I simply haven't seen enough to know if I want to spend the money yet.

This thread is going very nicely. You guys have the idea. This is a measure of interest. Not really a deciding item. It helps more with planning and it is always something good to some investors. Plus it makes us all feel warm and toasty to know everyone is still interested.
Thank You!

I wouldn't register, but its NOT because I'm not excited about the game. I'm just afraid that my 1.3ghz machine won't be able to handle it. SO, I'll be waiting for it to arrive so I can see what kind of computer I need to find an excuse to BUY so I can play core decision.
Which is why I voted YES in the other thread.
So this particular no vote is in no way a slam against Core Decision.

I appreciate the intelligent voting. OK. Have you read the minimum requirements?

Yeah, and I don't meet. BUT, its not as bad as I thought, I just checked and I've got a 1.8ghz Celeron, not a 1.3. Just using the built in graphics. If I turn down some of the features I MIGHT be able to make that work. But I have my doubts. Probably will HAVE to get a graphics card in any case.
But I know that there is a lot of wiggle room in requirements before the game release. The game will frequently run on machines that don't meet the requirements, and the requirements for the game often go UP before the actual release. Heck, sometimes they go up AFTER the release.
SO, Like I've said, I'm VERY enthusiastic about Core Decision and almost CERTAINLY will be a purchaser. But I'll be waiting until after it hits the shelves so I can see the final specs, or best of all, download a demo and see that it will run on my box.
And if I have to purchase a whole new system, there may be a delay while I try to justify to my wife that I need to buy a new computer just so I can play a game.

I'd be willing to go on a waiting list, even if my system most likely can't run the game (at least not well). Heck, I bought D3 long before I was able to play it.

Yes, but I would probably try the demo before I buy the game. If it's similar to the Descent series (and not to the ego-shooters like CS) - definitely yes!
Same for my brother-in-law, he's not present in these forums...

If this is referring to a pre-order, no, I normally don't buy before playable demos, but if the game development pans out like it's expected to, I'd buy it eventually.

Not particularly, no time for games and I really don't know enough hard details about Core Decision to make that decision yet.
Plus I never pre-order, after getting burned on SimCity 4 (long story).

Seems kind of a silly question to me. I would think that most Descenters would be willing to get on a waiting list. However, to include my vote, yes, I would absolutely get on a waiting list!

I am sure the meaning of this thread is to put up a display as a way for \"certain important people\" to see the support for our title.

I imagine a waiting list is good sign that something will be released.
So I vote yes.

Not right now, because I'd rather hear more about the game before making a decision of that nature. I don't automatically know that I'd like it (although I do suspect it, but I don't wager when I don't have to).

Well I'm definitely waiting for the release of Core Decision. If nothing else, I anticipate that it will at the very least bring new players to play the original Descents. Heh
