DescentBB

Of late my system will suddenly slow down to a slide show (Mostly games). I've dug around and I've found that during these times inort.exe and inotast.exe (one of the two) will spike to 99% CPU Utiliz. These files are part of my CA eTrust Antivirus 7.1. I have downloaded the recent updates but no change. Has anyone had any experience with this software and aware of what the problem might be?
