For the longest time my Maxtor 10 drive has exhibited some odd behaviors. Like when deleting history of pages in IE, the PC would hang for the longest time (Program not Responding) with no activity on the HD then suddenly it was like it caught up all at once. A few other oddities here and there.
Last months issue of Maximum PC had an article about how Diamond Max 10 and 11 drives can perform poorly in an Nforce4 Chipset and that a firmware update to the drive was required to fix the issuse.
I was curious if anyone else has these sorts of problems? I tried navigating through the maze of tech support links on Maxtor's site to no avail.
