How do I block people not on my contact list from sending me messages?

In Trillian Basic 3 go to preferences, \"Identities and Connections\", click the connection you want to change, click \"Change\". There under the \"Privacy\" tab check \"Accept only messages from users on my contact list\".
In older versions go to preferences, click the IM service you want and then it's similar.
