Just wondering if anybody still played Forsaken. I can't find much on the web about it, it obviously doesn't have the same following that Descent does. If anybody knows of any decent sites pertaining to Forsaken, could you post them? Thanks.

ew!
no!
hehe.. no. Forsaken did about as well as Diakanta orwhateveritis. It
tried to simulate Descent, but never quite got it right. The game was \"ok\", however, imo the feel of the controls was too sluggish and the colors were too ..er neon.
Ironically, I still have a copy floating around somewhere. Oh, for those of you who have played Re-Volt which is an RC game ALSO made by Acclaim; you will recall pictures of Forsaken in Re-Volt with \"Sale- 10%\"
They knew a bomb when they saw won.

If you search this forum, you will find some threads related to the game.

Thanks for the links.
I remember when I went to Babbage's to buy Forsaken, they actually gave me a SpaceOrb for free with the game. I spent a while getting used to the SpaceOrb's controls, and after a while I decided that I liked it. Now they're selling a SpaceOrb on ebay for $100! Insanity. Never could get it to work correctly in Descent though.

I don't know why, but searches for \"Forsaken\" don't seem to reveal anything. There are threads like this one though:

I still have a copy, I played it last year for fun. Mostly I just ripped off the audio taunts from it, cause they're so funny. It's not a horrible game, though the graphics tend to give me a headache after an hour or so... I don't know why it never caught on. The customizable onboard computer was a good idea, at least in theory.

Forsaken is to Descent as Batman Forever was to Batman.

I sold a new SpaceOrb on eBay for over $110 a few months ago. I originally had gotten one to see what the deal was with them, but something deteriorated with the cable, and it sometimes became erratic, so I sent it in for a new one. When I got it, I figured I'd be better off throwing it in the closet and selling it later. This was already after it was announced that they would be discontinued. It was probably the best investment that I ever made.
