It's not IC 0.0.2 - we're still waiting on a Linux build of the code - but it's the next best thing, and for those luddites among you who are watching Into Cerberon with every expectation of being able to play it sometime in the next decade when you eventually buy a computer good enough to play Doom 3 on, I think you'll enjoy this little teaser trailer featuring in-game action shots from IC 0.0.2 on Sp3ctre's new map, ic_mine.

Download IC \"Grinder\" Trailer from moddb

The trailer is 12 MB and you'll need the DivX codec to watch it. I'm sure you hard-core Descent fans will recognize the looping sound in the background at the beginning of the clip :P.

I like the way you integrated the Boss sound in with the music. that was really cool.

That throbbing sound brought back some very bad memories. :P The video was truly excellent. :)

Very nice ! But you guys still move like you're playing Dm3 -- you need some hardcore D3 players for a trailer ;)

It loks great for all that I can see. Seems a bit to dark. Can't see the other ship until the missles hit it and lights it up.

Very nice. I definitely think that the Doom3 engine is ideal for this project.

Agreed! 8) After laughing at the guy trying to jump up the wall  , I was expecting some nice rolling/twisting/sliding action... [Gren, I'd love to see it from your perspective, as you're one of the rolling/twisting-est pilots I know]

Overall, excellent vid!

I don't think the guy with the camera has roll bound to anything :P Of course the dude coming at him upside down certainly does!

joystick support?

by Duper
Nope. The thread below this one addresses that. Grendel offered some possible short term options. :)

Nada. Quake 4 has tho.. ;) Here's what Duper refers to -- works fine for X/Y, so-so for R.

what about asking the Dm3 producer to implement joystick support with a patch? gets them more buyers i suppose.

sorry if this is the wrong thread.

Generally speaking you don't feature-patch 2-year old FPS games unless they're still selling like hotcakes (Half-Life, Quake 2).

Technically, id Software did add joystick support to the Doom 3 engine: the Quake IV engine is built off of the Doom 3 engine.
