It seems to be pretty common knowledge that a \"bad\" D1 Version 1.5 patch was released at some point which made the music disappear after Level 7. So community sites have generally advocated updating from a Version 1.0 install to Version 1.4a and then installing a Version 1.4a=>Version 1.5 patch. Yesterday, I came across a thread in another forum which suggested that Interplay had in fact released D1 CD-ROMs with the \"bad\" Version 1.5 patch already applied, and I have a few questions:
1. Has anyone (Interplay or a third party) ever released a patch or come up with a procedure to repair a \"bad\" Version 1.5 D1 installation? I did some research, but I have not been able to find such a patch or procedure, and I don't want to re-invent the wheel.
2. If you have a \"bad\" Version 1.5 D1 CD-ROM, does the procedure described in this thread fix the problem for you?
3. Does anybody have a copy of D1 and D2: The Definitive Collection where D1 isn't broken?
