Okay, that's wonderful, but we better act swiftly to take advantage of the power vacuum... otherwise he might as well still be prancing about.

Good riddance. There was some talk about his replacement being an egyptian al Queda who will be safely outside of Iraq. If that's the case its got to be inspiring for the al Queda grunts dodging bombs and bullets in Iraq to know their new leader is sitting on his ass somewhere safe in Egypt issuing fatwahs that will get them killed, making video's of how tough he is etc...

All in all it's a good day for the west and a bad day for the islamikazi crew.

Guess they dropped two 500 lb bombs on the safehouse he was in...we got to see body shots of Saddam's kids so you know the rest of him was a red mist. Hah, good riddance.

Maybe I was wrong about religion. They found him by tracking his spiritual advisor, so maybe religion DOES have a place in life :)

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, I can only imagine that the politicos in Washington are ecstatic at the timing of this news... three months seems to be the most-used buffer zone time between big political news and elections.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this at lunch today. He thinks that Bin Laden will show up dead, captured, or otherwise right before the '08 elections. We shall see.

War is over, my ass, this government still has money to steal.

I would not be surprised inthe least if he's been dead for months, but they saved it for prime time election time.

Some times it truly amazes me what some people will say, think and truly believe on this BB. cmon people it says it on CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and MSNBC, hell it even says it Al-Rueters, its not like it was takin from FOX news so you could claim it was Biased. :P

Cuda, you shouldn't be that surprised the lengths the govt will go to stay in power. If you think, for a second, that our well being is number one in their mind, you're wrong. The two puppets make us feel good about ourselves so that they can stay in power and do what Testi said, steal more money out of us.

Bad day for bearded islamic scum and liberals everywhere.

I'm convinced both are a mental illness.

I'm convinced that politics of any kind is a mental illness.

Well Michael Savage agree's with you, he wrote a book called Liberalism is a mental illness

I don't think it takes some fella named Michael Savage to write a book for people to recognize it.
I always thought it was obvious.

I was afflicted with it(to the point of thinking communism was a good idea. Forgive me, I was 12), then I noticed some problems, then I tried to fix it, accidentally developing what I later realized was capitalism. Now I'm conservative, and see liberalism(at least the postmodern relativist extreme of today) as something to be avoided

calling liberalism a mental illness is just as valid as calling republicanism a mental illness.

I don't actually believe it's been covered up, I was merely marvelling at the perfect timing.
