Recently I somehow have my hands on the neck of a Stratocaster (Squier):

Is it possibe to stick a non-Stratocaster body on this neck? And does anyone know general places to find guitar bodies and the parts to wire a working one, and for a low price, as I have no idea where to find parts like these! (I have $300-$500 to spare)

Not sure about compatibility with non-Strat bodies, but you can get replacement Strat bodies that should work. I bet it'd work with some others too; Strats are about as standard as you can get.

Im sure its possible to use that neck on a non-strat body, but theres some stuff to consider such as scale length, intonation, and how well the instrument will stay in tune when its all done. Since thats a bolt on neck you have, it wont be too hard to get it onto a body, but like i said some of the things above may come into effect.
You can probably find bodies on ebay and stuff like that. You might want to check out
www.warmoth.com and for certain little parts you can check out
www.guitar-parts.com As for the wiring, if you get just the body of the guitar without any wiring (pickup switch, cable plug, etc) already pre-setup youll have to of course, get that done, and then get the pickups for it as well.
Keep in mind that different pickups obviously will effect the sound and tone, but also the type of wood the body of the guitar is made of will have an effect on this as well. I'm sure your just doing this as a little project or whatnot so this probably wont matter as much, but i thought id mention it anyways.
Im not sure of a place online that does wiring, ill do a search later and see what i can find. What you can probably do for now is check to see if you have any luthiers or music shops in your area and see how much they'd do it for.

I think I will go to ebay, as they have some cheap bodies. At the least my dad can wire it for me, but I can mabye do it.
I thought that an extra guitar would be cool. I can have it set at 1/2 step down, because I have to retune my guitar whenever I want to play about half of the songs I know.
Currently I have an L6 (not L6S), dark green body, pickups, neck, everything else is black. I plan on coloring my new Strato-whateverthispartwillbe dark purple with black parts. Hopefully this guitar will be made good when I am done with it, and I can play songs by swapping guitars instead of retuning!

If you have access to woodworking tools, you could make the body yourself. You could even wind your own pickups. The hardest part of a guitar to make is the neck, and you've already got that.
