I can make it whatever size you want.
For those who want a certain size?
Please POST or PM me a size and I'll make one up.
Diedel,
I take it you wanted 1600x1200?

Nice!
I would make the letters of the D2X-XL text stick closer together and center the entire string between the left image border and the ship (as far as I can see did you do that already).
It would also look very cool if the D2X-XL letters had some yellowish flames in their upper areas, like the Descent 2-Logo of the original game.
If you make the image animated - like making the ship roll and swing left and right slowly, animate the red smoke and have flames inside the D2X-XL text - I will make D2X-XL animate it.
Heh, that would keep you busy for a while, instead of moaning about bots peeking through doors ...

Oh really???
Those bots are even trying to peek through Adobe Photoshop while I'm working!
If I was to animate the Menu.
Do you realize how big the TGA file would end up?
Especially at a size of 1600x1200!
Better make D2x able to read gif files.
Just a small update.

OK, at the risk of annoying Diedel I'll throw in the PNG suggestion once more - PNG allows 8 bit Alpha channel just like TGA and features lossless compression - you can also have a paletted image just like GIF, but the palette is not limited to 256 colors
for images that large with that many colors you might even consider JPG - at a decent quality setting (90% and up) the artifacts (quality loss) are minimal, but the filesize is reduced alot
Aus-RED5 if you have the time you may want to fiddle around a little with PNG - I found it to be an amazing image format

I had already thought about implementing png support. If it's not too hard to implement the compression stuff, I will. TGA has too many different compression schemes, some advanced ones that can even be mixed ...
Aus,
we could use another format ...
blue! Eeeeeek! Make the letters red, and stick them closer together. This way it looks like a half teethless mouth ...

Make sure the menu options are still reasonably visible. I guess if it came down to it you could have this as a splash screen and maybe show the main menu after 2 seconds/pressing Enter/both... in one of the fancy new blue window-style containers.
Heck, you could change the menus to red or something to match up if you really felt like it...

Jonathan,
Aus-RED-5 has already forgotten more of Descent than you ever knew.
