I'm honestly not a fan of weapons mods. But what BW is about to release is something VERY special.
BW has put a tremendous effort into creating this complete set of new/modded weapons. And while he has somehow managed to make them well balanced and retain the D3 feel, he has made them different enough that they truly add an entertainment value that I haven't seen in any other D3-mod release.
If not liking D3 mods is the only reason for not eventually checking his level out, then you will truly be missing out.

Why put it in a level and not a MOD?

There are so manny new things to this level.
Suncho you must see it to know the truth of BW's hard work.
We are doing the final testing tonight before it goes live.
When you play it make sure you try all the weapons for they are not what you think they are.
Everyone likes the vauss becuase you can see the case shells fly out off the gun ports!

1st: it's way easier and doesn't require as much knowledge to implement it in a level than to make a mod with it.
2nd: a mod can still be made after the release of the level.

1st: I can do it for him in a day.
2nd: Yes but by putting weapons mods into the level, that causes the level to be potentially incompatible with certain MODs.
By having a MOD take care of it, you save the trouble of all these incompatibilities AND you can play with the weapons MODs in any level.

I liked Subway Dancer about a year and a half ago when it first came out. I got bored of it after about four or five months. =P
Nobody plays third-party MOD's because they don't auto-download like levels do.

Instareap and Team Instareap get played.
And by the way, most levels don't autodownload either (old urls).

Yeah, but only InstaReap/Team-InstaReap are played once in a blue moon.
Nobody else wants to use the SDK for a game that only a few people play...and third-party MOD's were never too popular in D3.

And how many new levels do people actually play?

The new weapons look great -- unfortunately, the level was very large, so even when I did have one person join, we couldn't find each other.

Very impressive and a lot of fun, Black Widow! I am usually no fan of weapon mods, but this just struck me as being really well done.

Posted the level to PD. Unfortunately the DF link isn't yet available because I don't have access to the mirror yet (or don't know how it works, one of those two).
