\"Stop\" message or restart

While scanning with Ad-Aware my computer either gives me an error message or restarts depending on how I have the settings in \"Startup & Recovery\" in My Computer \"Advance\" tab.

The message is Stop: 0x00000007F 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x00000000
Beginning Dump of Physcial memory. Physcial memory complete.

AVG did show once a Partition Table - Reading error & Boot Sector of C: - Reading error but not know.

Also in my \"Event Viewer System Log there are entries just before the restart.

\"Information\" - \"Event Log\", \"event log\", \"Save dump\". Then \"Warning\" - \"Server\" then back to \"Information\" - \"Service Control Manager\" which I believe is after restart.

Is this just with Ad-Aware or other scanning programs? It sounds like your hard drive might be failing. I would do a scandisk, then post back when you have more info.

More info: Also restarts while running Windows Defender.

My DOS was weak when I was using it of and on.

I typed cmd in Run.

Got to a C:Typed chkdsk -f (with and w/o a space after chkdsk.

Get \"chkdsk is not recognized\", \"the drive, the patch or the file name is not valid\"

??????????

Had to run on restart and then it finished and disapeared befor I could read the results.

However, I got the following after the restart.
