Logitech Bluetooth Dinovo keyboard = Input & Output Good

I had a brain fart recently, and purchased a CoolerMaster alloy keyboard. It looked great! Sadly it is rubbish: really noisy (very \"click-clacky\") plus it actually rattles - believe it or don't. It was bloody expensive too - around NZ$80 from memory.

Well, I splashed even bigger this time: $330 (Wholesale!) for the Logitech Dinovo bluetooth keyboard(s) and bluetooth MX1000 Laser mouse. (I already had a USB MX1000).

It only takes - oooooh - about 11 days for the software to install, but the quality of the product is simply stunning. The Keyboard is the quietest and \"smoothest\" of any I've ever used - and the multimedia functions actually work (SHOCK HORROR!) with Winamp, and PowerDVD.

The little keypad is a great idea: works as a calculator, a media controller and the LCD display shows what you are playing (although the side-scrolling is a bit lame).

It's a real pleasure using the stuff. The bluetooth is very reliable (or has been for the last 48 hours anyway) and it's really nice to be able to put the keypad on the other side of my Everglide \"Giganta\" mouse pad.

If you are looking for a truly awesome keyboard/mouse combo, this could be it.

Note: The day after I ordered the thing, Logitech annouced their latest and greatest KB - have you seen THAT? Dayum@Logitech!

Yeah. Logitech make brilliant hardware! I'm using a Logitech cordless keyboard/mouse combo myself.
Although I didn't have to install ANY software! Hah.

It's a POS. Starting w/ the 50MB \"driver\" (for a freaking KB/Mouse combo !) to disconnects that have you reinstall the sucker to get it paired again. I dumped it after a month but hey, maybe they fixed the SW since then. It's always a good idea to check the Logicrap support forums before buying anything from them.

Out of curiosity, why didn't you wait for the new diNovo Edge ?

That logitech keyboard does look very smooth, I have been using a BTC 6200C USB keyboard for a while now, other then the text has worn off many of the keys it is an excellent keyboard. I like this keyboard because it is based off of a laptop keyboard (only not quite as cramped), while keeping a number pad and the same feedback feel that most laptop keyboards have. Compared to this, most keyboards I use elsewhere feel and sound like typing on a classic mechanical typewriter to me now. In addition, the media keys work perfectly in winamp, media player, firefox, IE, explorer, etc without any driver installations. If this one ever wears out, I might be tempted to try out that Logitech (though I doubt it can beat the $30 price tag on this BTC).
