Hey, I would like to have the ability to control DVD's on my PC with a remote control. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to accomplish this? I saw a nice little M-Play unit by VLSystems that claims it can do this, but I've read some scary things about their software.

MPlayer supports remote control using LIRC, but as this stands for
