I restarted descent 3 and evertime I got to this position, Piccu Station and SRAD research, I've tried to crack open this door, in the pictures below, but have been unsuccessful. Is there anyone that has cracked open this door and how was it done?

There is one crack on the facade of Piccu Station that can be seen from both directions. You can see it from the outside. You can also see it from the inside (in the room that has the entrance to the underground tunnels that lead outside).

if i recall right you start that level INSIDE of that building already. you pass that door inside of the building and to the left there is the rock you have to blow up to get outside. so at that point where you took the screenshots you was already in the building.
