If You Ever Doubted

Why politicians get elected, the following statement by Ms Pelosi about sums it up:

\"All right, let's hear it for the power,\" she screamed as the jubilant applause continued.

Not that they are there for the peoples business or any such silly claptrap....just the power and the trappings there-in.

And if I remember right I never read of a male speaker of the house eliciting such a comment. Kinda makes you wonder if Ms. Pelosi suffers from penii envy.

Holy out of context Batman! I believe that she was referring to power that women are gaining in the national political arena. Nothing wrong with that remark in that context there Chip.
