Slight haze on my 22\" Acer LCD. Should I RMA?

I recently bought an Acer LCD 22\" monitor and I love it, other than one thing. On the left hand side, when the screen is very dark or black, you can see a slight haze that is rather large and somewhat annoying. You only really notice it if you are looking at an angle but you can tell it is barely there if you look at it head on. I'm wondering if it is worth it to send it back? It is something I can live with, but it does bother me a little. I've worked on half-dead purple monitors before. I love the space, and at 5ms, I haven't really noticed any ghosting or lag issues.

It is a limitation of LCDs, my 20\" samsung glows a bit much on the bottom edge when showing all black. And you can also plainly see the unevenness of the backlight. There is nothing that can be done about it unless you spend a fortune on a LED backlit monitor.

I have the same thing. You get used to it after a while and suddenly you dont notice it anymore. :)

Yeah, it's not too big of a pain. I just wasn't sure if it was abnormal. I really like the monitor though. Lot's of workspace and my workflow has really increased. I feel a lot less boxed in when I'm multitasking. I did notice a little ghosting last night when I ran D3 in Stadium though. I didn't see it the night before. I mostly noticed it last night when Supersheep's 6 Black Pyro GL bots were creeping about. But after a while, I found that it gave me a slight advantage in that I could track it's motion better... thus I could track where it would be next better. :D

With most ground pounders I don't notice it at all though. Better workflow>ghosting in games. :)

Or, you could have a big-a55 CRT which shows blacks properly! ;)
