Hey dudes, I'd like to start playing D3 and I am running Linux everywhere.
I've been looking for stuff but haven't found any download links for the Linux D3 demo.
- which version will allow me to play on the public servers nowadays?
- where can the linux client demo be downloaded from?
- I'd start a linux D3 server. Anything specific to know about it beforehand? Any HOWTO on that?
Thanks and regs,

you will need full version as demos can't see retail servers. Can't offer advice about where to get it - sorry.

Loki went out of business. You may have to Google-it to find a copy, or check eBay.

I'm trying to start a linux D3 demo dedicated server.
However, 'descent3_demo -dedicated' doesn't seem to run without a 3d graphics environment running.
I find this strange... is that true? Is the dedicated server supposed to run like this or can running it graphically in X11 be avoided somehow?

You can also try Outrage's Linux Descent 3 Dedicated server (for the full version of the game) here:
