The spin from the pantaloon'd politico's as they dance their dervish around the immigration bonfire, is the amnesty bill for illegal immigrants is better than nothing. Now I don't know about you, but I believe there are already laws on the books regarding immigration. There are also penalty's for entering the country illegally.
Now, from listening to both CNN news and Fox news, polls from a number of sources all point to a very high opposition to this bill from the american electorate.
Do the disparate vapid virtuoso proponents of the bill, like Bush and Reid, think they are doing us a favor by pushing this bill? Harry Reid I could understand as the far left are looking for a new voter pool, but I never could understand why Bush is such a illegal Mexican fanboy.
With the Fort Dix incident, you would think our countries leaders would be looking at our boarder first instead coddling a bunch of felons. Out of the 700-800 miles of funded boarder fence, only 3 miles have been built. So no, boarder security does not seem to be a priority.
Amnesty has not worked in the past and as we can see, does not work now. We have laws on the books for people wanting to emmigrate here. Lets enforce them.

I think the arguments \"Let them come here for nothing\" and \"Build a wall so they can't cross\" is just plain retarted. I honestly think this is a good plan:
1.) For border security, use small teams of a global hawk, and a humvee. The global hawk can detect the immigrants for miles, then the humvee can fetch them and deport them. The thing is, this small combo can go for at least five miles for patrol, and catch anyone who tries to come in. I think the effective range for global hawks are even larger though.
2.) Kick all illegal immigrants out of the country, unless they show up to *insert proper government building* in *insert reasonable amount of time* and register as an american citizen. As long as they have a good non-criminal record, pay taxes, take the oath, and other stuff I can't think of, you can be an american citizen. This will prevent the freeloaders.

"The recent raids at meat packing plants in Colorado dispell the argument that American workers won't take the jobs that illegal immigrants are currently filling. It would be nice if you provided a source or some indication of what exactly you are quoting.
A few things,
1. Building walls in the desert sucks more then any Swift food job.
2. I was joking; however there is some truth that I'm sure there are liberal groups just waiting to find one illegal who laid a brick in constructing that wall to point out the hypocrisy.
3. A lot of construction companies in the S.W. do higher illegal immigrants.
4. I do believe the border needs to be shut down, however building a physical wall is a huge waste of tax payer’s $$.

Just when I thought I was understanding the anti-immigration position.
