2003 Norton Ghost

I have a copy of Norton Ghost 2003 (yes I purchased it :P ) and am wondering if it is still worth using on WinXP pro OS?
I'm looking to back-up (or image) partitions both to save info on same HD info is located on and specific info to CD.
Also at sometime to clone (if that is right nomenclature) from existing HD to a future new HD.
Never used NG2k3 so I am a complete noob.
