civil dual
I would like to be able fight anyone in my weight class and it be legal. Honestly! Some people just need an 4$$ kicking.
You should be able to say in public, \"Sir. you have offended me, in the deepest mannah' (manner). And believe you are in my weight class. I ask you for a challenge here at the mini-mart.\" And he should say, \"why sir, i believe i will accept your challenge.\"
or
\"Sir. ur face bothers me\"
\"Then we must dual\"

I call it a civil hand to hand dual and i think the murder rate would go down if people could go at each other once in a while.

Then I guess it is a good thing you can't have any laws added. ;)

(Though technically you can do this legally right now, just both of you have to join a boxing club.)

i agree, there needs to be more socially acceptable (and even USEFUL) outlets for our aggression and violence.

problem is that ppl have differing views on what's acceptable violence. You may want happy slaps, someone else may want sword play!

What would be the common arena? Popular sports (ie: football) are probably the modern equivalent. But even then it'd be a push to assume that everyone respects that (lots of ppl hate such sports).

you may want to challenge someone to ass-kickings, but what if you choose someone who is rather dangerous with their hands. I mean, what's to stop you from purposefully rupturing organs? In today's modern world such knowledge is not uncommon.

Bitchslap someone... and then they pull a gun on you. (What now? lol)

Some kindof common popular \"sport\" that EVERYONE plays sounds like a good idea. But i don't really expect that to be possible given how divergant human cultures are. I mean, i'm sometimes flat out finding people who watch anime - how hard do you think it is to find a fellow Sepak Takraw player?!
(jk, i'm not 1337 enough to play Sepak Takraw :()

Voluntary sports seem to solve the problem. Unless, of course, you want to smack someone specific... in which case, either you're their friend and you have their respect so you can TALK to them, or they're not enough of a friend to respect you or listen to you, and you should just leave them to their own stupidity.

When im president of mexico, i'm going to reinvent the gladiator matches.

Look! hear me out. Instead of just sword+spear play with horses (optional) we could also watch swat teams from different countries battle each other. Motorcycle gangs with spears and shields. To hell with UFC

Some people need to be hit. This coddled society is breeding smartmouth snotty losers who will say some really insulting crap, and know that they can get away with it 'cause the other guy won't risk jail. Actually, there are a lot of people that need to be hit.

Absof*cukinglutely.

There are so many kids today under 18 that so need a good arse whooping. I've heard 5 year olds swear at me. Man, if they were my kids, they'd be smacked real hard.

Virtual Violence. There's the ticket. After you drop the glove it's off to the PC and let the a$$ kicking begin. Soon there will be a section of Second Life where you meet on the fields of honour. I'm thinking of the South Park episode on Worlds of Warcraft here.

Actually I meant this
Unreal Tournament wrote:In 2291, in an attempt to control violence among deep space miners the New Earth Government legalized no-holds-bared fighting. Liandri Mining Corporation, working with the NEG, established a series of leagues and bloody public exhibitions.
Of course I was joking, but still :P
